Overview

This position is responsible for day-to-day ground operations duties such as weight and balance, loading and unloading of aircraft, flight tracking and custom cargo handling. Position holders would be regularly assigned to out station(s) for around 2 consecutive months, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Track flights and advice staff and handlers of ETA/ETD and handling required.
  • Compile information and calculate weight and balance.
  • Complete weight and balance documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness and correct inaccurate and/or incomplete information.
  • Completion of weight and balance form and presentation to crew.
  • Coordinate final Meal order for flight crew.
  • Analyze necessary information to determine load plans.
  • Complete company computer data entry within designated time frames as needed
  • Review Flight Plan request from Dispatcher to make sure timely departure for flight crew.
  • Coordinate with Dispatcher on flight departures and arrivals.
  • Supervise loading / offloading.
  • Prepare aircraft cargo documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness and correct inaccurate and/or incomplete information.
  • Communicate serious issues to management.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of HAZMAT loading paperwork, notifies crew of location and, if necessary, obtain appropriate approvals prior to take-off.
  • Understand and adhere to company operating policies, operations, processes and procedures
  • Understand and adhere to aircraft, vehicle and employee safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above, or a combination of work experience with high school graduation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the airline industry is necessary
  • Knowledge of aircraft positions and heights, aircraft weight limitations and aircraft overhangs.
  • Proficiently utilizes SITA, ULD and Flight systems, screens and software.
  • Ability to track and coordinate multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Computer literate.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Bilingual in both English and Chinese (writing and speaking)
  • Applicants are required to pass company Initial and annual recurrent training in areas of load planning, Weight & Balance, aircraft handling, dangerous goods handling, etc.
