Overview

Main responsibility is to achieve sales targets by developing and realizing the organization’s sales plan; directing and developing a highly productive Sales, Reservations and Customer Service team; managing and expanding customer base; service and product improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a business plan in alignment with the company’s overall business targets.
  • Create successful sales strategies that will maximize asset allocation and increase revenue.
  • Develop and manage customer relationships; propose plans on particular accounts within the territory, including the development of strategy tactics and communication with the account contracts.
  • Responsible for achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Responsible for market and customer analysis to develop products and service improvements as well as increase brand awareness;.
  • Responsible for capacity planning and revenue optimization to maximize revenue per flight.
  • Target filling discretionary capacity, e.g. the extra flights and the capacity from customers’ charters when market situation allows, in order to increase the revenue and market share.
  • Work closely with Senior Sales Director, including pricing, market developments, industry marketing issues and forecasting.
  • Maintain credit control for Atlas Air and solicit credit performance of customers. Provide flexibility to customers in order to balance credit risk and business opportunities.
  • Maintain good communication and coordination with Reservations and Customer Service colleagues to provide continuity with corporate plans and objectives at sales territory level.
  • Interface with Terminal Services employees in times of necessary to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Accounting Dept. and Agents on accounts receivables.
  • Target interline business opportunities.
  • Track and monitor customers performance.
  • Manage departmental cost budget.
  • Assure regional sales & Customer Service activities are in compliance (legal, administrative, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Sales Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Business and at least 8 years with equivalent work experience in air cargo industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to manage a high degree of complexity in various situations.
  • Independently motivated, extremely driven and result oriented.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under time pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven track record of increasing new business opportunities and developing a dynamic presence with major freight forwarders.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful company cargo sales plans and developing new business contacts in the international air cargo industry.
  • Ability to retain and develop talented people.
  • High proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
  • Excellent in both spoken and written English.
