Overview

Performs duties relation to the loading / unloading of aircraft, flight following, customs and cargo handling to ensure that company meets all company and governmental policies and regulations that customers receive quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Handle flight activity and special needs (Complies information and calculates weight and balance, final meal order for crew, load planning, flight plan request, coordinate with dispatcher).
  • Must be qualified to perform all aspects of ground operations including Loadmaster, hazardous materials, deicing, fueling catering, security, etc.
  • Ensure our customers are current with all operating requirements and focus items.
  • Actively work with all other departments to continuously improve the service to our customers.
  • Handle and load offline transfer cargo between interline carrier to maximize utilization pallets from NGO flights.
  • Fully monitor oversea vendor pallets and take necessary actions to ensure high utilization from NGO flights.
  • Closely communicate with PO control tower and commercial team to maximize utilization pallets for all of DHL network flights.
  • Supervise daily operation, maintain and improve quality of station performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of air cargo industry experience is preferable.
  • Applies understanding of aircraft positions and heights, aircraft weight limitations and aircraft overhangs.
  • Knows and adheres to company operating policies, operations, processes and procedures appropriate to the job.
  • Experienced in supervising pallets build-up and other warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to track and coordinate multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet the demands of varied responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Computer skills working with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
  • Must be bilingual in both Japanese and English (Speaking and writing).
  • Previous airline experience preferred.
