Overview
This position serves the company as a focal point in coordination all in-service maintenance problems.
Responsibilities
Perform stores activities including receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing of aircraft parts, as requested by manager.
Debriefs flight crew with regard to maintenance issues to determine proper action required
Evaluates maintenance discrepancies and coordinates with Maintenance Control or the appropriate departments in order to accomplish a prompt resolution to the problem
Assigns mechanics, contractors, and related personnel in accordance with requirements
Performs required aircraft maintenance as needed, based on available expertise, manpower and time constraints
Coordinates with Maintenance Control to ensure that all required aircraft maintenance items are addressed in accordance with Atlas Air Cargo and FAA requirements
Provides briefing to flight crews as to maintenance accomplished and status of deferred items prior to aircraft departure
Ensures all essential documentation is completed, faxed and forwarded to the necessary departments in a timely manner
Familiarizes himself/herself with provisions in company and manufacturer maintenance manuals
Identifies and accomplishes other duties or responsibilities assigned by their supervisor
Represents Maintenance Department on board Company scheduled and charter flight
